VIM Web Printing Control

Install Web Printing Control

The VIM Web Printing Control allows user to print labels from all major browsers to supported Zebra label printers. VIM web printing control supports printers that use the ZPL language. Zebra User Guide

Note: VIM Web Printing Control v4.0 must be installed for tag printing from any browser on VIM v3.06.08 or later.

  1. Log in with a user name and password.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Support on the menu on the left side of the screen.
  4. Click Check For Printing Control.
  5. Click Open WebClientPrint for Windows in the pop-up. If you do not see the pop-up you may need to allow pop-ups for your Vertere site.
  6. Another pop-up will open while the current printing control is detected.
  7. If a green smiling face appears, you may stop. The correct printing control is installed and you are set to Print Tags.
  8. If a red frowning face appears you must install the VIM Web Printing Control (v4.0).
  9. Click the Download install file link at the top of the page.
  10. Navigate to the download location. Double-click wcpp-4.0.19.314 to run the installation file.
  11. Grant access for the file to make changes to your computer.
    • Note: If error message Administrative Privileges Required appears, the correct privileges are not available on the local device or the necessary permissions have not been granted. Please contact your computer administrator to obtain elevated local administrator rights.
  12. Click Next in the Installer window.
  13. Click Everyone in the Select Installation Folder window, click Next.
  14. Click Next to confirm the installation.
  15. Click Close when the installation is complete.
  16. Return to the VIM Support page and click Check For Printing Control. A green smiling face should appear with the message VIM Web Printing control is installed!

Initializing Tag Print from Browser

Most browsers will require permission for the VIM Web Printing Control to open. Lasting permission can be granted by choosing to always allow vertere.com to open the WebClientPrint application.

Note: Delay in granting permission may result in an error message stating you do not have the VIM Web Printing control installed. If you receive this error, close the pop-up window and try your print again.

Permission messages for each browser and the error message will be similar to the examples below.
