Delete/Inactivate Location

Due to the level of records management in Vertere, deletion of a Location may not be possible. A Location can only be deleted if it has no auditable activity i.e. the Location never housed chemicals. If deletion is not possible, the Location may be Inactivated within the system.

Delete Location

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Locations.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Locations from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Manage Locations.
  5. Click the Location in the tree. The location will populate in the Details tab.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Confirm deletion in the pop-up window.
  8. Location Removed message will appear below the location information box.

Inactivate Location

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Locations.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Locations from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Manage Locations.
  5. Click the Location in the tree. The location will populate in the Details tab.
  6. Click the checkbox next to Inactive.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Location Updated message will appear below the location information box.

Note: Inactivating a parent location will automatically inactivate all sub-locations.

Reactivate Location

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Locations.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Locations from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Manage Locations.
  5. Click Show Inactive.
  6. Click the Location in the tree. The location will populate in the Details tab.
  7. Clear the checkbox next to Inactive.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Location Updated message will appear below the location information box.

Note: Reactivating a parent location does not automatically reactivate sub-locations.
