Manage Location Types

Location Types can be used to classify a location for use in searches and reports.

Add New Location Type

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Locations.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Locations from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Manage Locations.
  5. Click the Cog icon next to Location Type in the Details tab.
  6. Click the Plus icon next to Add new location type in the pop-up window.
  7. Enter Name and Description.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click Close Window.
  10. The new Location Type will populate in the drop-down menu.

Edit Location Type

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Locations.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Locations from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Manage Locations.
  5. Click the Cog icon next to Location Type in the Details tab.
  6. Click the Pencil icon next to the location to be edited.
  7. Edit Name and/or Description.
  8. Click Update.
  9. Click Close Window.

Delete Location Type

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Locations.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Locations from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Manage Locations.
  5. Click the Cog icon next to Location Type in the Details tab.
  6. Click the Recycle Bin icon next to the location to be deleted.
  7. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up window.
  8. Click Close Window.

Note: If a location type is associated with a location, it cannot be deleted.
