Manage Waste Consolidations

As waste items are packed in anticipation of shipment, consolidations may be created to track the items within the containers. Regulatory data may be added to assist with compliance. Each consolidation is given a discrete barcode independent of the barcodes assigned to the individual items within the container.

Add Waste Items to Consolidation-Create New

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Select item(s) to add to consolidation.
  1. Click Add to Consolidation.
  2. Select Create new consolidation.
  1. Enter the tag number for the consolidation.
    • The value will pre-populate if the system is set to auto-generate tag numbers.
    • Consolidations are given discrete tag numbers separate from the barcode values added.
  2. Select the appropriate CAA from the dropdown list or location tree .
  3. Click Create Consolidation.

Add Waste Items to Existing Consolidation

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Select item(s) to add to consolidation.
  1. Click Add to Consolidation.
  2. Select Add to existing consolidation.
  1. Enter Consolidation Tag.
  2. Click Add to Consolidation.

View Consolidation Contents-Containers in CAA Page

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Click the down arrow next to the consolidation to view.
  1. To Sort the contents, click the up/down arrow to sort by a column heading.
    • The up/down arrow will transform to an up (ascending) or down (descending) arrow to indicate the sort column and sort order.
  2. Contents may be filtered by Contains, Starts With, or Is Equal To.
  3. Click the Barcode to view details of a consolidated item
    • Waste container information may not be edited when a container is in a consolidation.
    • To edit individual waste containers, remove the container from the consolidation.

Print Consolidation Barcode

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Click the Barcode of the desired consolidation.
  1. Click Print Barcode to print the consolidation tag.
  2. Select printer, label template and number of copies.
  3. Click Print Barcode.

Delete Consolidation

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Click the Barcode of the consolidation to delete.
  1. Click Delete Consolidation.
  2. Confirm deletion by typing “DELETE” in the provided field.
  3. Click Delete Consolidation.

Modify Waste Item(s) Included in a Consolidation-Consolidation Details Page

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Click the Barcode of the consolidation to modify.
  1. Click Add Containers.
  2. Enter a Barcode to search for a specific container.
  3. Click Search Barcode.
  4. Click the Add button next to the container to include in the consolidation.
    • The container must be in the same CAA as the consolidation.
    • The container may not be on a shipment.
    • The container may not be in a different consolidation.
  5. Click the Remove button to reverse the addition.
    • Removing an item will return the item to the CAA, not to the previous active inventory location.

Remove Item from Consolidation

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Click the Barcode of the consolidation to modify.
  1. Click the delete icon next to the item to remove.
  2. Confirm removal.

Manage Consolidation Regulatory Data

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to:
    • Manage Waste Containers
    • Manage Waste Removal
    • Manage Waste Labels
    • Manage Waste Regulatory Data
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In CAA.
  6. Search for items. Search Items
  7. Click the Barcode of the consolidation to modify.
  1. Select Waste Type from dropdown list.
  2. Click Add Section.
  3. Select Regulatory Data Section.
  1. Enter Regulatory Data.
  2. Click Save Regulatory Data.
    • Repeat steps 9-12 to add additional sections.
    • Repeat steps 11-12 to edit existing regulatory data.
  1. Click the trash icon to delete a section.
  2. Confirm deletion.
