SDS Documents

SDS documents, that are linked in the system, may be exported to assist users in maintaining compliance. SDS documents are linked to all inventory records that share a CAS number. All SDS linked within the system may be exported as files which may be viewed, saved externally, and/or printed.

SDS Export-All Locations

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Export SDS Documents.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Reports from the menu on the left side of the home screen to expand the sub-menu.
  4. Click Documents.
  1. Select All Locations from the drop down menu.
  2. Click Export SDS Documents.
  3. Navigate to the browser downloads button.
  4. Click the open icon. (appearance may vary dependent upon browser)
  1. All SDS linked within the system will be exported as separate files.
  2. An Excel file listing the Location, Document Name, Document Date and the Quantity of Related containers is provided with each export.

SDS Export-Specific Location(s)

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Export SDS Documents.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Reports from the menu on the left side of the home screen to expand the sub-menu.
  4. Click Documents.
  1. Select Specific Locations from the drop down menu.
  2. Specify the location by selecting from the drop down menu.
    • OR
  3. Specify the location by selecting from the location tree by clicking the location icon and selecting the location from the tree.
  4. Click Add Location.
  5. Repeat the selection process until all desired locations are populated.
  1. To delete a location, click the X icon .
  2. Click Export SDS Documents.
  3. Navigate to the browser downloads button.
  4. Click the open icon. (appearance may vary dependent upon browser)
  1. All SDS linked within the system will be exported as separate files.
  2. An Excel file listing the Location, Document Name, Document Date and the Quantity of Related containers is provided with each export.

SDS Export-Individual Item

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Lookup Inventory.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click View/Update from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click the Search tab.
  5. Enter the parameters to search a specific record. View/Update Search
  6. Click Search.
  1. Click the document icon to open the SDS widget. SDS Widget
  1. Click the eye icon to view or download the desired SDS.

SDS Maintenance

To view all records within the inventory that do, or do not have SDS documents linked:

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Export SDS Documents.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Catalog from the menu on the left side of the home screen to expand the sub-menu.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Search for the specific catalog record. Catalog Search
  6. Set Active to yes to view only items that have been or are currently in the inventory.
  7. Set SDS to:
    • is attached to view items which have SDS linked.
    • is missing to view items which do not have SDS linked.
  8. Click Search.
  9. Click the Export button to download an Excel file of the results.
