Create Requisitions

Requisitions may be created from the View/Update and Catalog Edit pages.

Requisitions are communicated, by email, to the designated recipients.

Requisitions may be created within the Chemical, Biological and General modules. The examples below will use the chemical module. The process is identical in all three modules.

Create Requisition-View/Update

Requests created from the View/Update screen are limited to items currently in active inventory.

  1. Log in with a username and password that has been granted access to the Requisitioning Module.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click View/Update on the left side of the screen.
  4. Enter search parameters or Scan/Enter an existing barcode. View/Update Search
  5. Click Request on the appropriate record in the results grid.
  1. In the Request Preview, Enter desired quantity.
  2. Click the down arrow to open the Purchasing Email drop-down list.
  1. Click the checkbox to select the email address of the purchaser(s).
  2. To add additional email addresses, enter a valid email address and click the plus sign .
  3. Click Confirm Emails.
  1. To remove an email, click the delete button.
  2. To be copied on the request email, click the checkbox.
  3. Enter a comment.
  4. Click Submit Request.

Create Requisition-Catalog Edit

Requests created from the Catalog Edit screen are limited only by the scope of the current catalog. Items contained within the catalog, but not currently in active inventory may be requested.

  1. Log in with a username and password that has been granted access to the Requisitioning Module.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Catalog on the left side of the screen to open the sub-menu.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Enter search parameters. Catalog Search
  6. Click Request on the appropriate record in the results grid.
  1. In the Request Preview, Enter desired quantity.
  2. Click the down arrow to open the Purchasing Email drop-down list.
  1. Click the checkbox to select the email address of the purchaser(s).
  2. To add additional email addresses, enter a valid email address and click the plus sign .
  3. Click Confirm Emails.

  2. To be copied on the request email, click the checkbox.
  3. Enter a comment.
  4. Click Submit Request.

Requisition Communication

When a requisition is submitted, the information is transmitted, by email, to the designated recipients.

The recipients may communicate with the requester by replying to the message. The reply will addressed to the requester by default.
