Dispose
The dispose function is used to remove one or more records from the active inventory.
- Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Dispose Chemicals. To dispose biologicals or general inventory items, the user must be granted access to Dispose Biologicals and/or Dispose Inventory, respectively.
- Choose the appropriate Module.
- Click View/Update from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
- Search for record(s) for disposal. View/Update Search
- Select one or more records displayed in the Search Results grid by clicking the Select Field. The Select all on page field selects all records visible in the search results grid.
- Note: if the search results span multiple pages, each page must be processed independently.
- Click Dispose to open the Dispose Inventory page.
- If multiple records are selected, the Empty Container field will be checked by default. To dispose of an amount greater than zero, records must be processed individually.
- To dispose of a single empty container, the Empty Container field must be selected manually.
- Complete the fields required by the organization.
- Disposal Date may not be a future date.
- Disposal Methods may be added, modified or deleted from the Settings menu. Manage System Tables
- To select the currently logged in user as the Approved By value, click the
icon. If an alternate user is required, choose the appropriate value from the drop down list.
- Choose the Approved On date, if needed.
- Enter the Amount to Dispose if a single container is chosen and the amount disposed is greater than zero.
- Click OK.
- The page will refresh to the View/Update screen and the message Items Disposed will populate under the search box. The remaining items from the intitial search will be available for processing.
