Searchable values, not currently available, may be added utilizing the dynamic fields function.  Dynamic fields may be added to inventory, catalog and master records. Dynamic field values may be searched using the query tool within view/update and catalog edit screens.

Add Dynamic Field

1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Settings.
2. Choose the appropriate Module.
3. Click Settings on the menu on the left side of the home screen.
4. Click the Custom Labels tab.
5. Click the Plus icon next to Add new dynamic field at the top of the dynamic field grid.
6. Choose Field Type.
7. For a Text field:
   • Specify the Label, Tooltip and Default Value.
   • This field may be Required or Disabled by clicking the appropriate checkbox.
   • If the field is optional do leave both check boxes unchecked.
8. For a Date field:
   • Specify the Label and Tooltip.
   • This field may be Required or Disabled by clicking the appropriate checkbox.
   • If the field is optional do leave both check boxes unchecked. 
9. For a Checkbox field: 
   • Specify the Label and Tooltip and Default Value. 
   • This field can be disabled, but not required.
10. For a Dropdown field: 
    • Specify the Label and Tooltip. 
    • Enter the values for the list in the Lookup Value textbox. 
    • Click Add to save each value in the table. 
    • A Default Value may be designated within the table or No default value by clicking the radio button. 
    • This field may be Required or Disabled by clicking the appropriate checkbox. If the field is optional do leave both check boxes unchecked.
11. Choose the Field Context.
    • Inventory:  This value is included when adding an item to the inventory.  It may be searched using the query tool from the view/update screen.
    • Catalog:  This value can be added from the create new catalog and edit catalog screens.  It may be searched using the query tool from the view/update and catalog edit screens.
    • Master:  This value can be added from the create new catalog and edit catalog screens.  It may be searched using the query tool from the view/update and catalog edit screens.
12. Click Save.

Edit Dynamic Field

1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Settings.
2. Choose the appropriate Module.
3. Click Settings on the menu on the left side of the home screen.
4. Click the Custom Labels tab.
5. In the Dynamic Fields grid, search by entering a value into the text box, filter or scroll to the field to be edited.
6. Click the Pencil icon.
7. Modify the the data to reflect desired values in the pop-up window.
8. Click Save.

Delete Dynamic Field

1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify System Settings.
2. Choose the appropriate Module.
3. Click Settings on the menu on the left side of the home screen.
4. Click the Custom Labels tab.
5. In the Dynamic Fields grid, search by entering a value into the text box, filter or scroll to the field to be deleted.
6. Click the Recycle Bin icon.
7. Confirm deletion in the pop-up window.
