Manage Waste Containers

Record Additions to Waste Container

This page outlines actions for existing waste containers. See the Add Waste Container page if a waste container needs to be added to the system.

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Search for the container to edit. Container Search
  1. Click the Barcode to select container.
  1. To record additions to the container:
    • Product Name:
      • Select from dropdown list if detailed waste profile exists. Waste Profiles
      • Enter if the product is not listed.
    • Amount: enter the amount of product added.
    • CAS#: value will prepopulate product is selected from expected contents.
    • Concentration: enter the concentration value.
  2. Click Add.

Edit Waste Records

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Search for the container to edit. Container Search
  1. Click the Barcode to select container.
  1. Click the edit icon to modify a waste record.
    • Click the check mark to save changes.
    • Click the cancel button to exit without saving.
  2. Click the trash icon to delete waste record.
  3. Confirm deletion.

Edit Regulatory Data

Detailed waste profiles may contain pre-defined regulatory data based on expected contents. This data may be edited, at the container level, to reflect differences between expected and actual contents. Edits made at the container level do not modify the parent profile. Waste Profiles

Regulatory data may be added to individual containers, as needed, when the waste profile lacks the information.

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers and Manage Waste Profiles.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Search for the container to edit. Container Search
  1. Click the Barcode to select container.
  1. Click Add Section.
  2. Select the desired section.
  1. Enter data.
  2. Click Save Regulatory Data.
  1. To Delete regulatory data sections click the trash icon .
  2. Confirm deletion

Modify Assigned Waste Profile

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers and Manage Waste Profiles.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Search for the container to edit. Container Search
  1. Click the Barcode to select container.
  1. To change the assigned profile, Select new waste profile from the dropdown list.
    • Changing the waste profile will over write the existing regulatory data with the new profile’s regulatory data.
  2. Confirm the change by selecting either
    • Remove contents and replace regulatory data
      • Or
    • Keep contents and replace regulatory data.
  1. To delete the assigned profile, Select the blank profile from the top of the list.
    • Removing the waste profile will clear the existing regulatory data.
  2. Confirm the change by selecting either
    • Remove contents and remove regulatory data
      • Or
    • Keep contents and remove regulatory data.

Print Waste Container Barcode and/or Documents

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers and Manage Waste Labels.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Search for the container to edit. Container Search
  1. Click the Barcode to select container.
  1. Click Print Barcode.
  2. Select printer, label template and number of copies.
  3. Click Print Barcode.
  1. Click Print Label. Waste Label Documents
    • If multiple Labels are available, a dropdown list will be provided for selection.
    • Labels are provided as a .pdf file that may be printed using standard printing options.

Note: Custom waste label documents can be created by the Vertere support team for use with the waste management module. Contact Vertere at support@vertere.com for assistance.

Request Waste Container Pickup-Waste Management Module

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers and Manage Item-Ready for Pickup.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Search for the container to edit. Container Search
  1. Click the slider button to Request Pickup.
    • The slider can be reverted to inactive if the pickup is requested in error.
  1. To review the waste container details prior to requesting pick up, Click the Barcode to select container.
  1. Click the slider button to Request Pickup.
    • The slider can be reverted to inactive if the pickup is requested in error.

Request Waste Container Pickup-View/Update

Pickup requests may be submitted for regular inventoried items as well as waste containers utilizing the View/Update screen.

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers and Manage Item-Ready for Pickup.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click View/Update.
  4. Enter the Barcode.
  5. Click Search Barcode.
  6. Click the Pickup Requested check box.
    • OR
  7. Select the item(s).
  8. Click the Request Pickup button.

Note: If the Pickup Requested column is not visible, the view may be customized. Customize Results Grid
