VIM SDS Cloud Powered by 3E

Vertere has partnered with to help centralize and organize SDSs within the Vertere Inventory Manager. Subscribers to Vertere’s SDS Cloud Solution have access to ‘s library of over 20 million SDS.

The VIM SDS Cloud Solution may be accessed from the Add screen, View/Update screen and the Catalog Edit screen through the SDS Widget. SDS may be searched and downloaded utilizing the link to the SDS Portal on the VIM home page without the need to log in to the inventory manager.

SDS Portal

  1. Navigate to the login page.
  2. Click the SDS Portal link.
  1. Enter search criteria.
    • Multiple criteria may be specified.
  2. To remove search criteria, Click the red X icon .
  3. Results may be filtered by language. English, French and Spanish are available.
  4. Click Search. Results populate in grid form below the search area.
  1. To view, download and/or print an SDS Click the blue page icon .

Download SDS-Add Screen

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Add Inventory.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Add from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Search for and choose the item to be added to the inventory, enter tag number, location, current user and department. Add Inventory
  5. Click Search VIM SDS to expand the widget.
  1. The initial view auto-populates Country, Language and CAS# fields associated with the product being added to the inventory and returns matching values. The search results will include all SDS containing the current CAS# as an ingredient.
  2. If needed, click Advanced Search to open expanded search options.
  1. Enter the desired parameters.
    • Click the copy icon to populate the associated data into the search fields.
  2. Click Search.
  3. Once the correct SDS has been found, click the download icon to attach the SDS file to the catalog’s master ID. The download icon will convert to a check icon when the document is attached to the master ID.
    • Click the information icon to review the ingredients of a mixture.
    • Click the SDS preview icon to review the SDS file.
  1. After the SDS has been downloaded it is available under the Local SDS tab and may also be accessed on the document tab in the catalog edit screen.

Download SDS-View/Update Screen

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Lookup Inventory and Manage SDS Documents.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click View/Update from the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Search for the item requiring an SDS. View/Update Search
  5. Click the blue book icon to open the SDS widget.

Download SDS-Catalog Edit Screen

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Modify Chemical Catalog and Manage SDS Documents.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Catalog to expand the menu on the left side of the home screen.
  4. Click Edit.
  1. Search for the item requiring an SDS. Catalog Search
    • To find all items missing SDS, set the SDS value to is missing.
  2. Click the blue book icon to open the SDS widget.
