Add Waste Container

  1. Log in with a user name and password that has been granted access to Manage Waste Containers.
  2. Choose the appropriate Module.
  3. Click Waste Management to expand the menu.
  4. Click Containers to open the sub-menu.
  5. Click In Lab.
  6. Click Add Waste Container.
  1. Enter the number of containers.
  2. Select/Enter the required information. Required fields are designated with an asterisk.
    • Type: the type of container required for the waste. Waste Container Types
    • Waste Container Tag: the barcode for the container. Tags
    • Location: where the container will be located.
    • Chemical Owner: person responsible for the container.
    • Department: group responsible for the container.
    • Receive Date: date the container is placed in lab. Value defaults to current date if required.
    • Waste Profile: the expected contents. Waste Profiles
  3. Click Add Waste Container.

Note: Fields may be designated as required utilizing Custom Labels.

  1. Click Print X tag. X is the value that corresponds with the number of containers created.
  2. Select printer, label template and number of copies.
  3. Click Print Barcode.
  1. Click Print Label. Waste Label Documents
    • If multiple labels are available, a dropdown list will be provided for selection.
    • Labels are provided as a .pdf file that may be printed using standard printing options.

Note: Custom waste label documents can be created by the Vertere support team for use with the waste management module. Contact Vertere at support@vertere.com for assistance.

  1. Click Edit This Container to make changes.
  2. Click Add More Containers to be returned to the Add Waste Container Screen.
